The Rotary International District 9510 Rotary Australia Worldwide Community Service Central Region (RAWCS) working Bee and Open Day was held at the Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment
(RARE) warehouse at Edinburgh Park on Sunday the 19th November 2023.
The event was was attended by 47 volunteers including District Governor Craig Dowling and Immediate Past District Governor Paul Thomas.
Volunteers were all gainfully entertained, undertaking some 36 jobs around the warehouse, thus
providing invaluable help to the dedicated RARE committee and regular volunteers.
District Governor Craig Dowling and Immediate Past District Governor Paul Thomas cooked a BBQ
for luncheon which was much appreciated by the hungry volunteers.
The day was an excellent opportunity to showcase RARE operations as well as the other RAWCS programs to Rotarians and friends with brief presentations during the luncheon. For those who had not previously visited the RARE warehouse, tours were provided.
